All customers’ caravans must be in a roadworthy and serviceable condition, tyres must comply with current legislation and all electrics comply with recognised standards.
All caravans, and or trailers and contents, will be towed by Able2Tow, but the customer's, owner's, own insurance must cover the liability of the caravan.
The transportation of any customers caravan is at the discretion of Able 2 Tow Staff.
Caravans must NOT exceed 2.3 metres wide and 7 metres in length.
Did you know that a caravan with a body in excess of 2.3 metres wide or 7 metres long can only be towed by a heavy motor vehicle (over 3500 kg Gross Vehicle Weight)? Not even a Transit van, nor the biggest 4x4, can lawfully tow a caravan that exceeds these dimensions.
If upon collection the caravan is found to exceed these dimensions the work will not be undertaken, and there will be no refund of any payments already paid to Able 2 Tow
Caravans to be transported must not exceed 2800kg total weight. This includes the gross weight of the caravan as well as any items or goods contained within or mounted on the caravan.
We reserve the right to reload the caravan / trailer if it is deemed necessary to ensure the correct nose weight is applied.
Keys for the caravan must be posted / delivered to Able2Tow in a recorded and secure method.
Written authorisation must also accompany this regarding release of the unit from any secure store.
At the time of collection all caravans will be inspected and a damage report completed and retained by Able 2 Tow. Additionally, digital photographs will be taken of damaged areas.
Able 2 Tow are insured, through LV. A copy of the insurance policy is available to customers upon request.
Any unforeseen costs incurred by Able 2 Tow during transportation of caravans must be met by the customer.
On agreement of a quotation an invoice will be sent to the customer, this invoice will form the basis of the agreed transportation of the customer’s property to and from the collection and delivery point indicated on the invoice.
Payment must be received, and cleared, at least 7 days prior to the transportation date |
